Emotion recognition is the process of identifying human emotion, most typically from facial expressions as well as from verbal expressions. This is both something that humans do automatically but computational methodologies have also been developed. Facial expression analysis is a remarkable and demanding problem, and impacts significant applications in various fields like human-computer interaction and data-driven animation. It primarily comprises of three parts, i.e. face representation, feature extraction, and classification. Face representation shows how to mock-up the face and resolves the succeeding algorithms of recognition and detection. The distinctive features of face images are extracted in feature extraction step. In the categorization or classification, the face image is evaluated among the images present in database. The Expressions recognized in this project are Anxiety, Disgust, Happiness, Fear and Neutral.

The purpose of this project is to match before and after surgery images so one can prove the identity. This research presents an efficient face matching algorithm in plastic surgery using an evolutionary granular algorithm. Input for the system is the images from before and after plastic surgery and then perform the face matching algorithm for both images.
